WELLNESS EXAMS

Routine veterinary pet wellness exams are extremely important for the long-term health of your pet.

Passion for Pets and their People

WHY WELLNESS EXAMS MATTER

01

FAMILIARITY

Not all dogs or cats are the same and routine checkups and lab work allow your veterinarian to get to know your unique pet on a personal and medical basis.

02

PHYSICAL EXAM

The thorough physical exam your pet will receive during his/her annual check up allows us to screen for many types of diseases and abnormal trends earlier than they would have otherwise been detected.

03

LAB WORK

Regular monitoring has significant value in establishing what is normal and expected for your pet.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We are invested in your pet

  • Administration of preventative care such as vaccinations, heartworm prevention and flea and tick prevention.
  • Routine lab work will be recommended and tailored to your pet’s specific life stage, health status and current medications.
  • A physical exam will be conducted which allows us to check for problems that your pet may have that are discernable by well trained eyes and hands.
  • As the pet owner, you will get one-on-one time with your veterinarian to ask questions related to your pets health and wellbeing.
  • Healthy pets belong at the vet! We can help you keep them healthy by administering vaccinations and other preventative care to prevent diseases.
  • Animals are great at hiding their pains and problems!
    • A major component of an animal’s survival in the wild is their ability to appear healthy and strong, even when they feel sick and weak. This is possibly the greatest factor in delayed or completely absent medical care for painful and uncomfortable pet health conditions.
  • Dental disease is the most common problem identified during a wellness visit. Oftentimes, owners are completely unaware of major problems lurking in their pet’s mouth.

A few times I have needed to see them urgently due to various illness either of my pups have had. Though sometimes they didn’t have appointments available, they would add me the a cancellation list and get me in as soon as they could. Which is very reasonable and I think above and beyond.

When I first started bringing my first puppy to Primary Pet Care, the staff immediately showed him tons of love and care to make me and him comfortable. This level of attention was consistent with every visit. When I got my second pup, the decision to continue taking them to primary pet care was easy.

I have also trusted Dr Gifford to do two operations on my pup and in both procedures him and his staff communicated effectively with me and gave me updates with all the needed information during the process.

Though this office is not very close to my home, I will to travel because I can rely on the care they are going to receive. Having a fur baby at times can be stressful, but having someone like this team to care for your best friends makes it easier.
